Do you have the designs ready for the Strickland project? Cameo’s boss asked as he walked through the studio. He was always in a hurry, talking about deadlines and due dates.

Andre was older, heavier for the amount of running he did. He would have been fairly good looking if he wasn’t so bitchy all the time. His over-exhaustive dedication to his business and the fact that he was as gay as the sun was bright, didn’t help his social life any. Cameo and Stacey forced him to go out with them after work each week. They have even threatened to quit if he didn’t.

What designs? Cameo asked.

Don’t play with me, he warned, raising his voice.

They are right here, Andre. She held out a portfolio without looking up and he grabbed it on his way by.

Thank you. He scurried out the door and down the stairs toward a waiting cab.

And he is off. Stacey said in her Greek accent, watching him disappear. You love to tease him, don’t you?

It’s my lifelong dream, she joked. I’m just trying to get him to lighten up a little.

I swear, he would have a heart attack if he stopped long enough to slow his blood flow down.

Can that happen? Cameo asked looking up from her drawing.

I hope to never find out. If I ever act like him, shoot me please?

Cameo laughed. I doubt you could ever be like him.

Stacey sat at the same large table each day with Cameo. They became the best of friends during their four years of working together. She loved Stacey’s accent and listened to her stories of growing up in Greece. With her dark features and beautiful skin Cameo was surprised Stacey didn’t have
