About this ebook

How much would you endure to save those you love from slavery or imprisonment? What would you do for those you don't even know? Would you even attempt to help those who hated you, if they were on the brink of death? In this book we examine exactly what it cost Jesus to die on the cross for the sins of the world. We know he had to die, but how much did it really cost, since he was resurrected from death only three days later? In this book we delve deeply into exactly how much Jesus had to pay in order for the rest of us to be set free from our sins. If you think you already know the cost, the answer might surprise you.

    Introduction

There have been many wars in this world. Since the beginning of recorded history and even long before, one group of humanity has been at war with another group of humanity. Whether on a purely local scale with one village of a country fighting against another village, perhaps just over the hill that separated them, to all-out war that engulfed every known nation with any type of military power fighting all amongst themselves, with one or more of those country’s vying to be the victor in order to be the sole conqueror of the entire world, as was the case with World Wars I & II. Regardless of the scale upon which any given war was fought, man has been at odds with others of his kind ever since he learned how to kill.

In America there was the Revolutionary War, which was fought by those living in the then American Colonies belonging to the British Empire wherein the colonialists wanted freedom from their motherland and so went to war in order to obtain it. Then there was the French and Indian War a short time later and still later the War Between the States, which many in the South termed the War of Northern Aggression.

Perhaps one of the shortest, yet most effective of wars was that which came to be known as the Six Day War, and was fought when Israel was attacked by what was then known as the United Arab Republic, which consisted of the neighboring countries of Israel, Egypt, Jordan,
