As the moon breaks apart, Karlin remembers the words of his Granny from so long ago.  "When you reach your fiftieth year, you will fall in love."

Rowan stands on the cliff edge between Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay watching the sunset and a bird flying around her.. What does it want and why won't it leave her alone?  She follows it but does not feel threatened and the days that follow are happy for her and she learns what love is all about.
