But it was not until The Da Vinci Code (2003), second volume in his trilogy (with Angels & Demons in 2000 and The Lost Symbol in 2009) dedicated to Robert Langdon, a professor of religious symbolism, that he achieved true success and became recognized as a bestselling author throughout the world.
