Steamy romance with an interesting plot
I really enjoyed this book. I liked the writing style of the author, it was easy to read and flowed nicely, it was almost sensual the way their thoughts on their initial meeting and their burgeoning love affair was described.
I enjoyed the story; through their getting to know each other we got enough background on both main characters – Madeleine and Jean-Luc – to understand their reactions to their circumstances, though I definitely wanted to smack her when she left him…The storyline of the Conman and Madeleine’s Mother provides for an interesting plot thread that allowed Jean Luc’s protectiveness to shine through and kept me flipping the pages to see how it all resolved.
This is the first book by Sara Claridge that I have read and will eagerly seek out the other books in the series.
