About this ebook
A USA Today bestseller!
Roan King.
The uncrowned king of Barnett University. He's like a freaking celebrity around here. It's totally ridiculous. People, by which I mean grown women, actually stalk him on the internet. And around campus. Apparently, he's god's gift to both football and the ladies (I'm using that term loosely). All he has to do is smile and girls fall right onto their backs before spreading their legs wide. I've heard that he's already plowed his way through half the female population at Barnett. My guess is that he'll work his way through the second half before he gets drafted to the NFL later this year.
Yeah...I don't plan to be one of them. The guy is nothing more than a conceited player. You know the type—a steroid infused meathead coasting through college on his football prowess.
Ugh.
I have three words for you—avoid, avoid, avoid.
Need I say more?
I don't think so.
I've had the sad misfortune of running into him on campus. Literally. As in—I literally slammed into him before spilling my iced coffee all over that wide rippling chest of his (did I just say that?). What I learned from the experience is that Roan King is one hell of a cocky son of a—
I also learned that he has the most spectacular chest.
And don't get me started on those abs... I could probably cut diamonds on them.
Unfortunately for me, Operation—Avoid Roan King isn't going so well. Everywhere I go, there he is. If he wasn't so ridiculously hot, he would be a hell of a lot easier to forget. With his dark hair, shocking turquoise-colored eyes and (damn him) buff body, he's easily the most gorgeous guy I've ever laid eyes on.
Crap...see what I mean?
I have the sneaking suspicion that Roan King will lead to my utter ruin and downfall.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Roan Kinh and Ivy, these two names will stay in mind as reference to believe in true love while you keeping making your dreams come true. At beginning, you may think it will be the same love story, but give the book a chance and them you will live in the first person this story.
I liked the thoughts representing the king's website. ??? poor of the ladies dying by jealous. - Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Could not finish the book. Needs editing and the woman is a spineless. Not hot or steamy.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Ivy drives me nuts. I had to give up halfway through reading this book. She’s a total wet spineless noodle. Literally everyone walks all over her, and yet the author describing Ivy as being more fiery and being a force to contend with for Roan doesn’t actually make her so. Her actions in every interaction with every other character screams the opposite. that she acquiesces to everyone else even though she’s screaming internally. The character constantly knows she should be actually taking action to head off problems she knows she’ll have to deal with later, but just wants to bury her head in the sand to avoid doing anything, then is frustrated why she has to deal with her problems that she could have avoided. Even something as simple as ordering school books ahead of time instead of waiting in line for them. And yet she’s also concerned that she has to do all the work in a 60% partnered assignment and is trying to be proactive about it and juggling her other commitments? Was super angry and hurt by Finn’s treatment of her before and tells Lexie there’s no chance of going back to him and ignores his messages, but the moment he sees her she gives in to meeting up with him and going on dates?
And yes, she’s attracted to Roan, but like, every frustration, emotion, etc just drains out of her when he touches or kisses her. I’m sorry, but while the premise of this story is promising for the genre, this particular work needs more revision. There’s lots of personality contradictions and way too much of “I can’t function when Roan is here”. The copy could also use a bit more copy editing.
If this story was revised more, I think it could be pretty good. Just needs more work. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5So... again, love the story, characters and the meaning behind each characters story. I’m just so disappointed that the first time the characters officially *ahem come together* is built up and bypassed.. this has happened a few times now in her books and it’s really getting on my nerves! They ‘wait’ and then eventually start getting rid of clothes and doing stuff... and then bang (and no not the good kind) new chapter! Why build the moment up over so many chapters to then shut it down and move on! It’s made into such a monumental moment for the characters and then we don’t get to go through it with them. It’s very very frustrating. I love the author she’s amazing but honestly it really is such a big downfall.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I enjoyed this book. Nice way to pass time and easy read
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I loved this book. Well written and lovable, full characters .
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5She has just come back from studying abroad, he is the king on campus.
She has family drama, he has girls clinging to his every move.
From the moment they met there was undeniable chemistry that neither of them understood.
She is a relationship girl, his a one night stand man.
She is a dancer, his a footballer.
School project, stereotypes, slow burn romance.
It was an okay book, easy to read, but nothing too exciting. Innuendos and small glimpses of passion. There’s no real suspense, or conflict, it’s just life and a story of two people coming together with a few obstacles.1 person found this helpful
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Ignore the cover and read this book
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Badly needs copy editing, which once done will shave off a third of the pages. Nice YA story, predictable but swoon- inducing enough. Strong heroine and strappy hero.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Very good for new adult not a lot of angst and a good bit of verbal banter. I agree with the previous post. Ignore the cover and just read it.
