The Burgess Boys - Trivion Books

The Burgess Boys is arguably the most astounding work of author Elizabeth Strout. It is the story of two grown brothers who leave their hometown after an unfortunate accident kills their father. Bob, the younger brother, believes (like everyone else) that he is responsible for his father’s accident. A family crisis gets the boys back to their hometown where the family is confronted by the ghosts of its past. Strout brilliantly portrays the struggles and victories of two very human characters in the novel.
