About this ebook

"A powerful testament to the realities of war." - Mike

The Threads of the War series shares personal stories from real-life military history across the span of The 20th Century's War. With short stories from WWI and WWII, the reader is carried from one front of the war to another with emotionally compelling bursts. In Volume II, celebrate on the street of Paris in Summer 1914; dive under the coast of North Carolina in 1918, stand on the evacuated beaches of northern France in 1940; and peer into the minds of the confined and the liberated at camps in 1945.

Each story in this collection opens the door to a unique personal facet of war; exposing the reader to the facts, fictions, and fallacies of armed violence. Following each story, the reader is provided specific and revealing facts about the events narrated, offering both entertainment and education within the time it takes to read a blog-post.

Jeremy Strozer

Raised in California, Jeremy moved to the Washington, D.C. area at the age of 18 to attend university. Through education and luck, he became a Fulbright Fellow, a Presidential Management Fellow, and found ways to live and work across vast swaths of the world. Professionally, Jeremy helped remove unexploded ordnance from war-ravaged countries; stem the flow of the world's most dangerous weapons; and potentially reduced the likelihood of war between a couple of the world’s most powerful countries.  He lives in Ireland with his wife, son and daughter where he continues to work on preventing future war and warning the world about the human cost of violence.
