2. A small bag fits 3 plastic cups. Nick found that he can place there 5 times more cups if he steps on them to flatten. How many cups should Nick flatten to fill 6 bags?
3. There are 2 double-yolk eggs per each dozen. How many chickens could hatch out of 5 dozens?
4. Each rabbit eats 2 carrots and then takes 1 carrot away from grandmother’s veggies raised bed. How many rabbits visited her backyard last night if grandmother has counted 60 carrots less this morning
5. Melanie has 23 pencils in her box. Her classmate Rick has 6 pencils less. They decided to combine their pencils and donate them to the School Zoo mice family. If Melanie and Rick distribute all pencils by pairs, how many mice will get the pencils?
6. At the hot-dog tournament Lucy ate 8 hot-dogs, and Fred ate just 2 less. Eddy ate exactly the half of Fred and Lucy combined number of eaten hot-dogs. How many hot-dogs have disappeared in three friends’ stomachs in total?
7. On his way to school Garry lost 8 stickers. Kelly found half of lost stickers, but before giving them back to Garry, Kelly also lost half of them. How many stickers were lost altogether?
8. Absentminded Greg loses 1 pair of glasses every month. Therefore, he buys a new pair each month. Every two months he finds 1 previously lost pair of glasses. How many pairs of glasses Greg has at the end of the year?
9. In the circus a magician took $20 bill out of Johnny’s sleeve, $50 bill – out of Jenny’s hat, and $5 bill – out of Greg’s collar. How many times should the magician repeat his trick to collect money enough to buy 3 bikes $100 each?
10. Friends dream of reaching the legal age. Sasha will be 18 in 9 years but Cathy – only in 10. What is the both friends’ current total age?
11. The two-story building has a total of 46 windows. There are 18 windows on the first floor. Second floor has 6 more windows than the first floor. Is there a basement in the building?
12. Store received 27 boxes of tomato and 18 boxes of cucumbers to the store. Checking the content of boxes, the salesman found corn instead of tomatoes in every third box, and corn instead of cucumbers in half of boxes. How many boxes of corn received the store?
13. Ben and Kerry opened the internet Candy Store. On the first day they received 18 orders for red and 10 orders for green loly-pups. On the second day red loly-pup orders went up twice and green loly-pop orders were tripled. How many candies were ordered for two days?
