About this ebook
The end is just the beginning...
As the post-attack chaos forces Earth governments to realise they no longer have the ability to maintain order; the destiny of mankind falls to a select group of human and artificial intelligence to prepare a defence against annihilation by the Nubl hives.
Pod's growing sentience causes problems when she lets her guard down. Zeke gets severely wounded, ultimately forcing the mutating DNA to intensify its activities. His friends and colleagues believe he cannot survive the transformation, but Zeke doesn't give up easily.
Meanwhile, Arty obtains a mental boost. Believing he has the answer to everything, he makes plans to do what he can to protect humanity from extinction. Pennington baulks and demands all the high-calibre AI's be controlled - preferably by him. This doesn't go down well with humans and AI alike, but there is no time to dwell on the issue because the Nubl are coming.
Tobias Roote
Tobias Roote began writing while recuperating from an illness. He moved to the island of Corfu, where he had time on his hands and a wild imagination that needed an outlet. His enthusiastic writing evolved quickly into an 80,000 word book that although never got published, provided a springboard into several other novels. His best-selling 'The Pattern Ship' was promptly followed by 'POD', and then Nubl Wars. Exodus ran parallel to the story and provided insights into the ending. Five years later and over 100,000 books sold, Tobias now travels around Europe looking for inspiration for yet another Sci-Fi story. At 67 years young, with over 50 years of reading science fiction behind him, Tobias knows that his readers like fast-paced action filled plots with plenty of space drama and alien battle scenes. Roote, who views himself as a post-humanist, delivers all of this in spectacular fashion. Never one to follow rules, his own sense of wonder at what the future holds, drives his imagination to consider 'what if' scenarios involving humans and artificial intelligence. This has resulted in the building of a website for all SF fans, https://www.sfbookreview.co.uk where you can read researched articles on a variety of SF subjects that often prove the springboard for future books.
