Biography
Dedication
This story is for all of us who believe in
soul mates and love at first sight.
They could be anywhere,
so never give up hope and never settle,
And remember, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
The One
C’mon. Katie. Let’s go already.
Kate Flannery applied her lipstick and ran a middle finger along her bottom lip, making sure it hadn’t bled off the edge. She assessed her work in the mirror. Her long, wavy brown hair was piled loosely on her head, tendrils falling gently around her face. The red cocktail dress she wore accentuated her curves, but was subtly sensual, yet not overtly sexual. She smoothed out the rough edges and sighed.
I guess that’s as good as it’s gonna get.
Well, if that’s it, let’s go,
said Lana.
Kate turned around and raised an eyebrow at her best friend.
Really?
Yeah, you look great. You always look great. Let’s go!
Lana motioned for them to walk as Kate shook her head and grabbed her clutch, following Lana to the door and out to the car. Lana started the engine as Kate snapped her seatbelt.
Maybe I should have brought a coat?
asked Kate.
Maybe you should just relax and enjoy the evening.
Who is this artist?
Artists... Fram Cooley...
I’m sorry, Fram Cooley? That’s not a real name.
