“I will tell you want to remove and when.” My hands shot back down to my sides. It was the deep voice of my mysterious buyer, only a few feet in front of me. He had the same tone of calm, unquestioned authority: not cruel, but not to be denied.

“Yes, sir,” I responded. Knowing that he was somewhere in the room without being able to see him was driving me wild. For a moment, all I could hear with my own ragged breathing. Then, I heard quiet footsteps in the carpet behind me. I didn’t want to turn, but my body began to move on instinct to face him. I didn’t get far, however, before I felt his hands on my arms, holding me in place facing away from him. I gasped involuntarily. His skin was soft, but his hands were huge, and his fingers circled around my skinny biceps with ease.

“You’re beautiful, Jane. Do you know that?” His voice was behind me and above my head - he must be tall, much taller than me, even with the heels.

“Thank you, sir.” I could feel the heat of his body on the skin of my shoulders and back that my dress left uncovered. His cologne was a spicy, exotic note in the air. I quivered with anticipation, made all the stronger by the blindfold.

His hands began to move slowly up my arms. Like his voice, his grip was strong without being overpowering - he kept me from moving not by force, but by the unspoken aura of his authority. I wanted so badly to remove the blindfold and turn to face him, but I wouldn’t dream of moving until he told me to.

“Why did you come here tonight, Jane?” He reached my shoulders, and pulled one strap of my dress off. “You aren’t like the girls who usually come to these auctions.” His breath was warm as it rolled across my bare shoulder and over the tops of my breasts.

Is it that obvious? Do I stand out that much? Did I do something wrong? I felt so exposed - I wasn’t even sure if we were alone, or if I was being watched by the entire club right now. Is he going to punish me? My clit throbbed at the thought of those broad hands smacking my ass, hard. “I’m sorry, sir.”

He laughed; a rich, knowing sound that said he was in complete control here, although I had no doubts. “Don’t be.” The other strap of my dress rolled off of my other shoulder, and he gently pulled the down and off of my body, revealing my underwear to whoever was watching. When my dress had been kicked aside, his hands came back up my sides, sending lightning bolts up my spine. “If you weren’t different from all the rest, you wouldn’t be here now.” His hands began to come together across my chest, his fingers stopping just at the edge of my bra. I craved his touch, which was so very close, and yet so far away. “Do you want to be here right now, Jane?” he whispered in my ear.

“Yes, sir.” My voice broke, straining under the weight of yearning building up inside me.

I can’t believe I’m actually going to do this, I whispered to myself.

I had first learned about this place from a friend of mine, Emma. She said that she and her husband went here a couple of times a month, and she always had the wildest stories to tell. Sex in public in front of strangers, sometimes with strangers, erotic shows and bondage – Emma and her husband had very few reservations. I was appropriately shocked and amused just like the rest of our friends, but I never told any of them that I was jealous more than anything else.

Jealous that she had the courage to go to a BDSM sex club, and I didn’t.

I guess I do after all, though. The thought calmed my nerves a touch as I strolled down Burgess Street to the ancient brownstone building. My heels clicked on the pavement, the staccato echoing in the night air. In any other part of town, there’s no way I’d be walking around dressed like this, alone and at night. But this was the richest neighborhood in the city, bar none, and the wealthy elite made sure they could feel comfortable coming to their private, unmarked club, so I walked with ease towards the small crowd that milled and pressed against the club’s door.

As I came closer and got a better look at the people, my doubt resurfaced, urging me to turn back before I made a fool of myself. I knew from Emma’s sordid stories that I’d have no chance of getting in if I didn’t go all out. I had looked across town for the right little black dress for days before I found one that was perfect and didn’t cost more than three months’ rent. Low cuts of dark satin hugged my curves tightly, making all the right things look bigger while slimming everywhere else. The short hem showed off all of my toned legs, smoothed by black stockings, and a new push-up bra gave me the bit of help I needed to fill out the front of the dress. When I had finally put it all together an hour ago, even I had to admit that I looked like a million bucks, and that’s something I never feel about myself.

But compared to these people, I felt like a made-up doll. They crowded at the single door leading into the club, held back by a wall of frighteningly large bouncers who turned the majority away. They’re all so beautiful, and richly dressed, I lamented. They all belong here, but I sure as Hell don’t.

I started to turn away, but one of the bouncers spoke up. You! In the back! I looked behind me, but I wasn’t surprised to see the woman standing next to me lean forward.

Yes! she squeaked in triumph, but before she could take one step forward, he spoke again. "No, not
