    Introduction

American youth, now more than ever, are identifying themselves as liberal. Millennials see the political process as corrupt. They see the Republican Party as the party of greed. They are the party of old, white, racist America. Why then do young people so regularly transition from Democrat to Republican as they age? Are they joining the nation of greed? Are they now the old and racist Americans? What are the youth not seeing now that they will see later?

In this book, you will learn about the history of both parties. You will learn about the centuries of failure by the Democratic Party. You will read the stories that the media rarely tells. The modern Democratic Party is not the party of Bill Clinton, it is the party of slavery, the party of Jim Crow, segregation, racism by low expectations, and corruption. The modern Democratic Party despises the Constitution and the Founding Fathers. In this book, Spencer tackles the issues that will define the 2016 election cycle. You will read about the dangers of irresponsible government spending and how the national debt can topple our nation. You will read about the history of welfare. You will read about the Democratic strategy of isolationism and how in modern America, it equates to national suicide. We discuss Presidential candidates. Readers will be able to judge for themselves and see which candidates best reflect their beliefs. This book is a no holds barred assassination of liberal policies.

After graduating from the University of California Los Angeles with a history degree, Spencer continued to study both modern politics and American history. As President Barack Obama continued to destroy the fabric that built the United States, it became evident that an out of control federal government was not the only problem. The United States electorate was out of touch and unaware of modern events. Spencer decided to write this book in order to help educate the public, especially first time voters, on the issues that define modern America, and also the history behind liberal policies, including the many failures that go largely ignored. If one voter is exposed to the liberal myths and comes to understand that voting Democrat equates to voting for failure and irresponsibility, and chooses to instead vote Republican, writing the book was a worthwhile venture.

Each chapter will introduce readers to a new topic. We go over finances, civil rights, guns, immigrants, race, military, and more. Each chapter introduces a central belief of the Democratic Party and the flaw of such ideology. Spencer presents facts, data, statistics, and the opinions of many of the Presidential candidates.

Onto Chapter One! Let’s talk about the liberal mindset.

    Chapter 1: What Liberals Think

The title of this chapter, What Liberals Think is itself an example of something liberals despise. Pigeonholing anyone into a particular group and any actions of that group to a person, is unfair, unless of course, you’re a Republican. 21st century liberals have attacked free speech in America more than any time in our nation’s republic. Media and higher education are filled with so-called intellectuals teaching their ideology, that which fails to represent nearly half of the United States population. Gone are the days of effectively teaching politics in public schools and letting the students make fair judgements for themselves based on the information given to them. With a stranglehold on higher education and the media, millennials are left with fewer and fewer options because fewer and fewer resources are presented in a fair way. What they fail to see is our nation is drastically changing away from what became the greatest superpower in the history of the world. They fail to recognize that these changes are no longer subtle, natural steps towards progress.

During Barack Hussein Obama’s Presidential Campaign in 2008, he famously quoted the preamble to the Constitution. In saying, We the People, in order to form a more perfect union, Obama was calling on voters to understand that America was not searching for a perfect union, but a more perfect union. America was incomplete. Obama’s campaign was based on hope and change. Unfortunately for America, change came in the means of regression. It came in the form of a worldwide apology tour. It came in the form of higher taxes, lower accountability, and a reduction of America’s power in the world.

American exceptionalism has been lost on the Democratic Party. While they may claim America is still the greatest country in the world during their 4th of July barbeques, Democrats, led by followers of radicals, such as Saul Alinsky and Bill Ayers, have forgotten what made America great. America was built by the people, a grand idea of self-governance that would free the citizens from the shackles of overbearing leaders. In 2016, American freedom is not what the Founding Fathers imagined. It is not what Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton imagine either. For them, freedom has gone too far. In the minds of radical 21st century American leaders, power must be controlled by the few, but the radical leaders of 1776 saw things differently. In the 240 years since the birth of the United States, our nation has grown, it has evolved, and it has developed into the greatest nation known to man, but times are certainly changing. The end of an era is closer than most believe, and Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and their democratic sycophant followers may take us over the edge- but not without a fight.

Before looking at where we are now, and how to fix the mess we are in, we must understand how we got here. In 1764, George William Frederick, or King George III of Britain, and the British Parliament enacted the Sugar Act. This Act was meant to increase British revenue, which was badly needed following the war debts they accumulated during the French and Indian War, ending in 1763. Though this did lead to widespread protests in the colonies, the new tax did not lead to the Revolution of 1776, nor did it lead to prolonged outrage by the majority of the colonists, who were mostly able to skirt the law, along with many of the other taxes levied by the British. The Sugar Act did, however, set a blueprint for the British.

Upon seeing that their new tax on the colony was generally accepted after the protests died down, the British didn’t stop. Within two years of the Sugar Act, the British passed the Stamp Act, which taxed all legal documents, the Quartering Act, which forced colonists to provide housing, food, and comfort to British soldiers when asked, and the Townshend Revenue Act, which taxed a variety of smaller items. Each act individually would likely do very little to ruffle the feathers of the Colonists, who were loyal Brits in their own minds, but an accumulation of unwanted measures forced upon them by a ruling class they would never know personally helped fuel the outrage. In 1768, the British knew they had created unrest and finally sent British soldiers to the colonies to help calm the situation. This did not happen, however, and tensions remained high. Five years later, in 1773, the British ultimately sealed their fate with a doubling down on their beliefs. The British firmly believed they had the right to tax the Colonists because it was British territory. In 1773, the Tea Act was implemented. Though the Tea Act was not a direct tax on the Colonists, but rather an exemption from the duties of the East India Company, a precedent had been set. The Colonists were not equals to the British, nor were they ever going to be, but rather in the land of natural resources, they were simply a revenue generator. The Intolerable Acts of 1774 were the last straw, and the Colonists and the British would be at war a year later.

The direct parallels between the 1760’s-1770’s and the 21st century are evident. The United States’ Founding Fathers never wanted to create a ruling class. Government would be for the people, by the people. Thus they created the House of Representatives, The People’s House. In time, however, being a politician became a career. As party lines developed and people became more and more split ideologically, we also saw an increase in lifetime politicians, the men who became the political class. Despite a population of over 318 million people, the same people, coming from the same families are running for major office every two, four, or six years. When Colonists fought at the Battle of Bunker Hill, they fought to eliminate the monarchy and have freedom to make their own choices.

In 1764, the Sugar Act was used to pay off debts accumulated by fiscal irresponsibility. In 2016, the United States’ national debt is nearing 20 trillion dollars. The Tea Act of 1773 catered to India, showing the Colonists where they stood. The Colonists chose to fight for their place in the world. They would no longer be subjected to second class citizens. In modern times, businesses are doing the same. California, the land of unbelievable natural resources, a place where citizens and immigrants have flocked for almost two centuries, is being ruined by the Democratic Party. Chief Executive Magazine ranked California as the worst state to do business in 2015 and businesses are hitching a ride to more business friendly states like Texas (run by Republicans) faster than settlers flocked to the San Francisco Bay in 1848.

Looking at the events prior to the founding of our nation, we see that times aren’t so different 240 years later. While specifics of any laws or issues of the day will always change, the premise of what works and what does not work, what is fair and what is unfair, has mostly remained static. What has changed, however, is the recognition of current events. The Democratic Party relies on having an uneducated public in order to further push their agenda. Democrats have successfully championed themselves as the party of compassion and the Republicans as the party of evil. In every modern day political issue, we see this playing out. Whether it be immigration, abortion, or gay marriage, the Democratic politicians, backed by the media puppets who support them, have represented themselves as the good guy, the champion of the middle class, the distributers of equality, and the fixers of a broken system.

While it certainly is important to debunk the myth of liberal compassion on a case by case basis, which we will do throughout this book, it is also important to know why history can help you understand the present. In order to effectively argue with a diehard liberal, one must know the three most important reasons why having a basic knowledge of political history is essential: 1) History doesn’t always repeat itself, but when it does, you’ll want to know. 2) When you understand history, you are more likely to vote for common sense candidates. 3) Without knowing history, you can’t sort through the bullshit.

History doesn’t always repeat itself, but when it does, you’ll want to know

History repeats itself. That’s the standard line most people give when asked why history is important. While it happens often, it’s not an exact rule. More importantly, when it does happen, you need to know. People repeat things that work. Everyone wants success and smart people and smart nations emulate the actions of other smart people and smart nations. The United States Declaration of Independence was signed on July 4, 1776 and almost 11 full years later, on May 14, 1787, the United States Constitution was signed and our country was officially in experimental mode. The future results of a government for the people, by the people, were unclear. America’s Founding Fathers knew this, and knew that the success of a republic depended not on government leaders, but on the people. Our first executive leader, the first President of the United States, George Washington, once said, The preservation of the sacred fire of liberty, and the destiny of the Republican model of Government, are justly considered as deeply, perhaps as finally staked, on the experiment entrusted to the hands of the American people. Our 18th century leaders may have felt that a Republic (They made clear the distinction between a Republic and a Democracy, but over the preceding 240 years the two terms have become interchangeable) was the way of the future, the only fair form of government, but they surely did not know for certain. Thomas Jefferson, 3rd President of the United States and another Founding Father said in 1807, while serving as President, History, in general, only informs us what bad government is.

While the Founding Fathers may not have known how successful their grand experiment would be centuries later, we can see now that it has been the greatest political success in modern history. According to Borgen Magazine, 123 out of 192 nations in the world had democratic government in 2013. Remember, people emulate success and democracy has undoubtedly been an overwhelming success. Why then, in the nation with the most successful democracy in history, has the far left wing of the Democratic Party attacked democracy? Why would Bernie Sanders, a socialist from Vermont and a two-term member of the U.S. Senate, run for President in 2016 and have a large group of supporters? Don’t liberals know that democracy has been the only true successful government in the world? While Socialists like Bernie Sanders, who arguably isn’t much further to the left than Obama or Hillary, openly hate democracy, and hate the capitalistic system that built the United States into the largest economy in the world and gained himself personal wealth, citizens in dictatorial governments like Sudan, North Korea, and Saudi Arabia beg for democracy and capitalism, if they dare speak out. So why is the Democratic Party the party of compassion? There can only be three possible explanations- they aren’t smart, they don’t know history, or they ignore history.

Barack Obama is a smart man. He studied at Occidental. He studied at Columbia. He studied at Harvard. Hillary Clinton attended Wellesley College, where she majored in political Science. She attended Yale, and earned a Juris Doctor Degree (all while being radicalized and developing a hatred for American Conservatism). Obama and other liberals can tell you in fine detail stories about the past. They can tell you about the wars of generations ago, the men who made America great, and the moments that brought our nation to a standstill. Despite what the public may often think, our highest ranking politicians are usually brilliant minds. Yet despite these God-given gifts, liberals have failed America. They have done this by choice. They know history, but they ignore it.

The beginning of the rise of Adolph Hitler began in 1923. Following the German defeat in World War I, in which he served as a Gerfreiter, or Corporal, Hitler joined the German Worker’s Party, which eventually morphed into the Nazi Party. While the German Worker’s Party, and eventually the Nazi Party, are often called far right wing parties, there is right wing about those parties according to today’s terms. In 1923, Hitler attempted to overthrow local authorities at what became known as the Beer Hall Putsch. Hitler and his conspirators failed miserably, but Hitler caught the break he needed while in the courtroom. After spreading his propaganda filled message during the 24 day trial, the partisan judges sentenced him to a short sentence and he was out of prison after only a year. His message stuck, and his fame grew.

While in prison, Hitler developed his most basic political ideas and published them in his book, Mein Kampf (My Struggle). When Hitler was released, the Nazi Party was back. For the next seven years, the Nazi Party continued to grow. As popular government support was weakened by the Great Depression, the Nazi’s became the compassionate party, the alternative to a system that let down the people. By 1933, the Nazi Party was a force that could no longer be reckoned with. By 1934, following the death of President Paul von Hindernburg, Hitler declared himself Fuhrer.

While there certainly are ways in which comparing the Democratic Party of the 21st century to that of the German Nazi Party is unfair, there are similarities that cannot be ignored. The way the Nazi Party came to power is similar to the way the Democratic Party is seeking to consolidate power now. David Badash of the New Civil Rights Movement writes:

Hitler came to power through the democratic process,
