    About the author

CD Moulton has traveled extensively over much of the world both in the music business, where he was a rock guitarist, songwriter and arranger and in an import/export business. He has been everything from a bar owner to auto salvage (junkyard) manager, longshoreman to high steel worker, orchid grower to landscaper, tropical fish farmer to commercial fisherman. He started writing books in 1983 and has published more than 250 books as of January 1, 2015. His most popular books to date are about research with orchids, though much of his science fiction and fantasy work has proven popular. He wrote the CD Grimes, PI series and the Det. Nick Storie series, Clint Faraday series and many other works.

He now resides in Puerto Armuelles, Panamá, where he writes books, plays music with friends, does research with orchids and medicinal plants – and pursues his favorite ways to spend his time: beach bum and roaming the mountain jungles doing his botanical research. He has lately become involved in fighting for the rights of the indigenous people, who are among his closest friends, and in fighting the extreme corruption in the courts and police in Panamá.

He offers the free e-book, Fading Paradise, that explains what he has been through because of the corruption.

    Bored in Paradise

Tommie McMasters walked along the pristine wide pink sandy beach and looked out over the sparkling Caribbean.

He did that most of most days. And early nights.

He remembered the last time he was off Isla Rosada, or the Pink Island. The sand was infused with a lot of pink coral, which flourished in the area. It was beautiful when it was dried, having lots of twists and turns, forming amazing shapes.

It was beautiful while alive on the reef, but would sting you if you touched it.

So many things found in nature are like that. Beautiful, but dangerous. The beautiful little thin snake that had bands of all colors, much like a necklace, but was deadly.

He was off the island for the last time when he was just six years old. He went with his parents to the big church in Saint Christopher. His father had been a big church man. He was born in South Africa and had left when there was some kind of trouble when he was just thirty years old. He and his mother were soon brought to the island where they always said their son could be raised in the paradise god meant for the world to be before Satan had tried to take over or something.

Madeline Sandover had raised him from when he was almost seven. His parents went to the big island and never came back. Madeline said they had gone to god. He discovered they had died in a storm at sea. He didn’t know that until he was twelve. It was the first time he ever thought about god in more than a ritual way.

He decided he was brainwashed (though he’d never heard that particular term) by the church and his parents. Why would a god who they were working for cause the storm that killed them? It didn’t make sense.

It didn’t help when he asked Madeline about it and she said that god works in mysterious ways.

The deadly pretty things. The orders that you were not to do the things that were natural to you, such as with the sex thing. He saw the only other people on the island since he was very small. Most didn’t wear clothes. Only he had to always have on a floppy bathing suit or something. And Madeline. And Rufus, when he was there.

When he was thirteen, a few weeks before he was fourteen, he began to notice the three girls.

Rufus was there then, and he asked about some things. Rufus said they were about the ugliest three girls he’d ever seen. He constantly wished he wasn’t responsible for Tommie, because he would like nothing more than to ... Tommie never quite knew what he was talking about. He did know the girls weren’t pretty. One of them had wanted him to do something when he was eleven, but he didn’t think it would be right.

What if she asked for that after he decided the church was nothing but, as Rufus said, bullshit?

    Would he have done it?

Probably. Maybe not. She was the fattest one and he didn’t like fat people. He remembered when he was just five and his Aunt Gertrude had squashed him in between her huge tits and almost smothered him every time he saw her. She would say things like, Oh! My little studkins! I love my little studkins! You’re going to be a real lady killer! Too bad your stupid father will try to make a eunuch out of you!

She and that fat girl, her daughter, Millie, kept saying his father was a stupid asshole. She had tried to hug him a few times. He had to endure Aunt Gertrude, but not her!

He’d been repulsed by fat women ever since. He had resented them always saying his father was stupid.

Whatever happened to them? Uncle Frankie had left Gertrude and Millie just before he moved to the island. He remembered hearing Frankie tell Mother that Gertrude had put on fifty pounds and he didn’t like blubber. She was getting so lazy he had to do the housework. Millie was even worse!

He had seen a magazine one of the girls had. It was called Triple X Titulations or something like that. It depicted a man, what Rufus called fucking, he supposed, a woman with really big tits. It showed him fucking her asshole and her sucking on his prick. It showed another man who was getting fucked in his asshole and sucking the first man. It showed all three of them in that kind of thing. They did what Rufus called a sixty nine. All combination of them.

He had once gone into Rufus’s room and saw him jerking off. That time he got a little scared because Rufus wanted him to touch him. He wouldn’t do that! His father and mother had told him to never do that because god would throw him in hell if he did.

He had an itch sort of feeling in his groin and those pictures made him get hard and he found himself jerking off for the first time. It felt better and better until he came, then he was terrified and swore to the god he didn’t believe in anymore that he would never do that again!

He didn’t do that again – for a whole day.

He was sort of glad that the three ugly girls had moved four months ago. He might do what she wanted. Now.

He was bored. He knew this really was paradise from the things in the regular magazines the girls had. He learned to read with those and the bible. They showed pictures of that kind of place, but usually with ugly concrete houses and boats and swimming pools and that kind of thing. They were mostly for sale. The prices were beyond what Tommie ever thought was printed. None of them had as good a beach.

Why would anyone live a hundred feet from a beautiful beaches and have a swimming pool? Wasn’t that about as stupid as it got?

He wanted to go somewhere, but not where those cities and fancy houses and that kind of thing were. He wanted to go ... he didn’t have a clue. He wanted to go where there was at least one woman as pretty as that one in the pictures.

The girls here had been ugly. Everyone said so.

Was he ugly? He didn’t have any way to know. He knew he had a good body, that he got a lot of exercise and ate good foods. The few people he met, once in awhile some older tourist in a boat, always said he was a doll and that he was sexy.

Hell’s fire! He was eighteen and hadn’t known anymore than his own hand! He wanted to see if fucking was anything like he pictured! If it was, he was sure, god or hell or no, he would be doing it! Rufus said, that one time, that jerking off was better than nothing, but all it did was relieve the pressure. It didn’t do all the other things real sex did.

Sex wasn’t available to him here and it was most of what he ever thought about! He had no way to know if that was normal or not. Maybe they kept him on the island because he was what Madeline called a weirdo pervert!

    How would he know?

He turned back toward the house a kilometer back along the beach. He was going to find a way off that island. It may be paradise, but it was also a prison!

He was about a quarter of the way back when a fast fancy cabin cruiser came along just offshore. A man was on the flying deck and saw him and waved. He waved back. The boat turned in a wide circle out and came back to the beach a few feet ahead of him. The man called something and he answered that he didn’t know the language. He then said, "What the hell are you doing here where there isn’t anything for miles?

"You seem to fit! You’re a walking god!

I’m Liam, from Quebec. This is Arlene.

A really beautiful woman came to wave and smile. She was a lot better looking than that one in the magazine! He’d never seen anything so beautiful!

She grinned and went inside to return almost immediately carrying a voodoo doll.

The idol! It’s going to be a great day! Liam said happily. We can see if it works the way Mama Angelina said it would! We can speculate about what’s the idol and what’s simply us!

    Encounter

Tommie watched as the boat came as close to shore as the draft would allow and Liam dropped the anchor. He was staring at Arlene. She said, "My god! He’s getting a hard on! What a doll!

    What’s your name, Gorgeous?

Er, I’m Tommie. I’m sorry. I’ve never seen anyone so beautiful and I can’t ever stop it when it decides to get a hard on.

They both laughed. If that’s all really you, I’m jealous as hell! Liam said.

Another beautiful woman and a man came from the cabin. Arlene said they were Sandy and Stan. She had light blond hair while Arlene had deep reddish brown hair. Liam was dark and Sten was lighter. The men had bodies much like his. He was maybe a bit more muscular and was in better tone.

You don’t even have a jock strap under that bathing suit? It pays to advertise, and you have plenty to advertise! Sandy said. C’mon aboard. I think we can find a use for that thing!

Tommie didn’t know what she meant, but he would certainly go aboard!

He climbed aboard and was offered a drink. He had tasted the wine Madeline had, but they had tequila and scotch and vodka. He said he’d never had any of it, that there wasn’t anything on the island since Rufus left, and he drank rum a lot.

"I didn’t think there was anyone on this island. There are several little unsettled islands out here. It’s not easy to get to you.

Well, now there’s just Madeline and the Beaufords. The girls and Rufus left. We’re all who’re here for more than a year. There were never more than us and the girls and Rufus since my parents died. That was when I was seven.

The girls? Liam asked. Three of them and you? I’ll bet you stayed busy!

They were really ugly. I never did what they wanted. I didn’t even do what Rufus wanted that time. I never did anything except jerk off, and that’s not very good sometimes.

Jeez-us! I don’t believe this! Arlene cried. A true innocent! Thank you, god!

I don’t think I believe in god anymore.

Arlene sat next to him on the rail and reached to stroke his leg close to his groin. It felt better than even jerking off! It felt better than anything! Ever!

They asked him about a lot of things and he drank a little vodka. He didn’t like the taste at first, but it wasn’t bad.

Arlene said to stand up for a minute and he did. She pulled his bathing suit down and exclaimed, It’s real! What a beaut!

She kissed his prick. He knew ecstasy!

She pulled him back down and held his prick. The others took off their bathing suits. Sandy sat on the other side and was
