Introduction
I want to thank you and congratulate you for downloading the book Power to The People: The Greatest Transition of Wealth in American History!
Since the beginning of time, the human race has fought to survive through evolution. Though not the strongest nor the biggest creature on earth, humans so have an ability that has been proven time and time again to be much more useful for the race’s survival; intelligence. Our ability to dream, think, and create has led us to achieve amazing and great feats. Through our ability to make our thoughts into very real objects and inventions, the human race has succeeded in building larger than life monuments, alternate virtual worlds, and new ways to power our enormous society.
When the caveman worked to create fire, he was not just fixated on making something pretty to stare at. He had a mission of creating heat, light, and a way to prepare food. During the Industrial Revolution, the same concept of powering a locomotive with coal, fire, and heat opened up endless opportunities for further advancement. In this need to generate heat, power, and electricity a new scientific discovery tested the laws of man and allowed us to rise to new heights. Because of the efforts of countless of scientists, solar energy has evolved from a far away concept to a technology that has become a part of our everyday lives.
The sun has been around for billions upon billions of years. This close star is one of the key factors of the earth’s survival. It is a nearly endless supply of light and heat, which makes it the perfect muse for scientists all around the world. Being able to harness the energy of the sun and use it to power factories, cars, airplanes, and entire cities is one of the greatest scientific accomplishments to become a part of the modern world. However, the transition to make solar energy our primary energy source has only just begun.
Every day scientists are testing new ways to creating solar energy cheaper and available to everyone, so that at sometime in the near future, we will be entirely dependent on the sun’s endless source of power. Right now the world’s primary source of energy is fossil fuels. However, the majority of fossil fuels available are controlled by a handful of greedy and manipulative people. And the fact of the matter is that our supply of coal, oil, and gasoline are all going to run out at some point; they are not renewable and take millions upon millions of year to create.
The most recent rise in energy costs has caused many people to look for alternative sources of energy. This book contains everything that you need to know about solar energy, including the history and origin of solar technology, a detailed analysis of the solar cell manufacturing process, and great inventors and companies that influence modern and future solar technology advancement. In reading this book you will learn what
