- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Pretty good survey for its time (published in 1965), though the author has a slightly annoying habit of repeating himself (for some odd reason, he dwelt on the expulsion of the Turkish population of Bulgaria, referring to it three time), and at one point, he got sloppy with the admittedly confusing situation of Roumanian royal politics. Pretty good read, though of course it's now vastly out of date.
