Once upon a time, Tsui jockeyed mechs with the best of them, maneuvering the multi-ton mechanical behemoths of modern warfare like trained dancers. There wasn't a model he couldn't ride like he was born to it.

That was a lifetime ago, though, if you counted the years, and these days Tsui found himself doing a lot more counting and a lot less jockeying.

That was why he was taking this job on another has-been mining colony on another dusty moon around another terraformed planet that certainly hadn't panned out the way its investors had planned.
