    Introduction

    Los Angeles is the biggest city in California and the second-largest urban location in the nation. It is found in the southern component of the state on the Pacific Ocean. It is the seat of Los Angeles County. Geographically, it expands more than 40 mi from the mountains to the ocean.

    The Spanish explorer Gaspar de Portola saw the site in 1769. On Sept. 4, 1781, the Mexican rural governor, Filipe de Neve, developed El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de Los Angeles, was indicating The Village of Our Lady, the Queen of the Angels. The pueblo became the capital of the Mexican district, Alta California, and it was the last area to surrender to the United States at the time of the American occupation in 1847. By the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo in 1848, Mexico yielded California to the United States, and Los Angeles was consisted of as a metro in 1850.
