Introduction:
«6:1 When human beings began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them.
6:2 The sons of God saw that the daughters of humans were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose.
6:4 The Nephilim were on earth in those days – and also afterward- when the sense of god went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown.
These were the heroes that, since ancient times were men of renown».
─ The Bible, Genesis 6 ─
The priest of the village seemed more than curious about that detail: those two children of different genders are equal, like two drops of water. And although throughout his many decades of pasturage in the region, he did not see or ever had any knowledge about cases twins births ─ and even less from different gender─, he thought for himself that in the end, it could be that nature had awarded that indigenous community at the top of the mountain with the coming into the world of the identical ‘mielgos’[1].
By the time of welcoming the ceremony of First Communion, he could not take his eyes off from the end of the formation of those children who have at most 10 to 12 years old, with solemn eyes and thoughts from who knows where.
They had something strange that did not agree with the rest of the group, who came down from the mountain to receive the Holy Communion for the first time. They differed from the rest of the group, that was more than obvious, since there were not similar or had the characteristic traits from the indigenous inhabitants of the whole region.
He could glimpse in his eyes an unusual glow. A curious way of looking in depth to everything around them. As if their eyes absorb all the knowledge that is presented around them and then, store it somewhere deep inside of their brains. Their demeanors did not correspond to the normal height of the rest of the community or to any indigenous ethnic group of Mayan descendants, like the own region natives that, as a rule, are short of stature.
As they approached to receive the Eucharist, for the priest it was more than evident that huge racial divide. The priest of the village seemed more than curious about that detail. They were fair-skinned; however, you could not say they were "Tonatiuh"[2].
The color of their skin was different from the others. Their pale faces, with a whiteness that did not resemble at all to those people, the natives of the place that their skin was a bit yellowish, like the sunflower pollen.
At first glance it could be defined as the naturæ errata. A snub nose and very particular nasal cavities with holes that did not correspond in size to the noses of others; which they were tiny, as a barely, blunted and distinctive part as a display label. The curiosity to know more about these strange creatures with angelical faces were increasing on him.
After finishing his church services, he was waiting out the door to the congregation, especially the group consisting of the recent communed into the Christian faith. Until he finally saw them, being led by Antonio Xocop, the highest cawachín[3] from the village, and all of his retinue, who were the last to leave.
He approached him hurriedly, he reached out his hand, and thus, he cramped his hat against his chest, and kissed it as a sign of respect.
─Antonio, it urges me to speak to you. Can you pass by the sacristy for a moment, please? ─, He said to him.
This, with a calm and imperative tone asked his retinue to wait under the Ceiba[4] tree that crowned the square plaza. At the parish office the priest was expecting him with a steaming coffee.
─It’s being a long time since we didn’t
