Justin Seaborne, a nuclear physicist, is going through a meltdown. Ever since his family was taken from him, Justin has been in a tailspin and he has not hit bottom yet. Jack Daniels helps him forget, but it also alienates everyone he comes in contact with. The longer this vicious cycle goes on, the more he realizes his life isn't worth living.

When an international crisis occurs in a sleepy little Maine community, Justin is needed to help mitigate the pending catastrophe. But that means he has to change his ways. And, change isn't something that comes easy for Justin. With disaster looming for the Northeastern seaboard, can he shed old ghosts, and with them, the albatross hanging around his neck?

As two detectives pressure him for an admission of guilt, Justin scrambles to find his own answers. How can he prove his innocence if he doesn't remember what happened? And if he didn't kill his friends, then who did?
