About this ebook

On the high seas, early 1800s, life can be boring. But things can sometimes get interesting. A ship's crew is only men: hot, sweaty, men in close quarters. This means loneliness, sexual tension, and lots of gay love...

As an officer, the Lieutenant knew he wasn't supposed to mess around with the crew, romantically or sexually. But when he witnesses the perfect, mostly naked body of a cute sailor getting whipped, it is irresistible love at first sight.

Seeing the man tied helplessly and getting lashed on his naked bottom awoke a burning desire in the lieutenant, and he had to attempt to get to know the sailor, perhaps intimately. Danger lurked everywhere: pirates, enemy ships, a cruel and jealous captain, and prying eyes of crewmen wondering why two men where making so much noise below deck.

Could the lieutenant and the sailor make their love work? Or would their romance be dashed to pieces like their ship in the middle of the battle?

7,500 words, Gay erotic romance set in the Regency Period.

Love and Lashes (Gay Historical Romance MM) - Leo David

It was the sound of the whip that aroused the lieutenant’s attention.

He was below deck, inspecting the gun deck, when he heard the unmistakable crack of the lash. It was annoying to him that the bosun, the ship’s disciplinarian, had not alerted him of the lashing.

No doubt it was a low-level punishment, and not necessary for ship’s company to be present for the punishment, but nevertheless, he should have been informed. As the ship’s sailing master, and second only to the captain, the lieutenant was in charge of the morale and efficiency of the crew.

Going above deck, he could see the bosun administering the whipping. He would have a word with the bosun about his insubordination. As a young lieutenant, in his first assignment as sailing master, he needed to show his authority.

Before he could reach the bosun to reprimand him, he was stopped in his tracks by what he saw. He saw a young man bent over of a cannon with his pants half pulled down, taking lashes on his naked rear.

The lieutenant stopped, barely able to move, and was speechless. It might not have just been the fact that he was witnessing a sailor getting lashed, or even lashed with his pants down, but the fact that the sailor was so breathtakingly beautiful that had the lieutenant standing still and staring, and at a loss for words.

The man getting lashed was already shirtless, and with his pants pulled down to expose his bottom, he was almost naked. As the lieutenant let his eyes drift all over the man’s body, he observed bronze tan skin blending into bright white as the young man’s naked bottom shone from the Caribbean sun.

By your leave, sir, a voice came from behind the lieutenant.

He was blocking a seaman from passing.

Oh, the lieutenant said, moving out of the way. Carry on.

The bosun stopped to look back at the lieutenant.

Didn’t see you there, sir, said the bosun.

The lieutenant walked up to the two men, and tried to keep his gaze away from the disciplined sailor’s exposed backside.

At ease, bosun, the lieutenant said. What’s the meaning of all this?

"He struck
