About this ebook

Page Morgan has been running away from Bad Boys since high school. She thought that it was safer to date the geek, the nerd, until she crossed paths with Nicholas Landon, tall, disarming smile, blue eyes and when he leaned in to whisper in her ear, it was a prelude to what came next. One night with him, and Page knew she wanted the most desirable Bad Boy there ever was.

Bad Boy, Nicholas Landon, liked his girlfriends passive and compliant. It all changed when he met Page and he no longer wanted to be the Bad Boy. But was it too late to change?

    Chapter 1

I never knew what I saw in Nicholas Landon except he was the sexiest self-absorbed, irritatingly handsome bad boy I knew. We met in high school and the day I saw him, I wanted him. With his handsome good looks, his girlfriend ordinary as me, but she was blond and I’m a brunette, she had a large group of friends to watch her back, I had none. I expected I would have a hard time even getting near him because he was constantly surrounded by a bevy of girls and guys.

Fate would have it, and because the school was small, so probability was in my favor that Monday morning we locked eyes on the steps of Roosevelt High School, and it was in that instant I fell head over heels for him. That is after I tripped on the stairs over a pile of books someone left setting there. I didn’t see the books all I saw was the glow and flash of the bluest eyes this side of Seattle. Completely mesmerized at such a handsome specimen of manhood, I did a Hail Mary as I tumbled head first.

Closing my eyes in midair with no time to think, no strategy about breaking my fall, my brain knew I would break every bone in my body or a leg or arm if I hit that cemented tiled floor. I tumbled over the books, did a half circle in the air and fell into a pair of muscular arms of this devilishly handsome boy, as his girlfriend glared at me.

She probably thought it was a stunt to meet Nicholas, but who in their right mind would dream of something that could kill or incapacitate them for years. What good would it do to pull a stunt like that? I wish I had thought of it earlier, though, and maybe choreographed it because I had taken gymnastics since grade school.

After catching me like a football in his powerful arms, gazing into my wide eyes, he lowered me to the stone flooring. When my feet hit the ground I said, Thank you. I’m so sorry.

There’s nothing to be sorry for, he said, just be happy I was here to keep you from falling.

His blond girlfriend giving me the evil eye, whispered something into his ear and then she glanced up at me with a snotty smile.

I didn’t know whether they were laughing at me, and of all the days to wear a dress to school it was that day. Maybe it was my antique underwear that had the days of the week imprinted on them that was so hilarious to them. Girls in some schools wore thongs but because it was cold in Seattle, and it appeared even colder because of Arizona’s climate, I bought a pack when we moved here from Arizona.

    Nicholas took off his football
