About this ebook

What ever happened to Darcy Steele?

In high school, she was everyone's best friend. But times had changed for Darcy Steele. These days she was a single mother living in the shadows following a marriage gone dangerously wrong. Not even her dearest friends knew what had become of her. Until one of those friends was murdered

Now Darcy was determined to get answers about her friend's death, even if that meant coming home and facing some hard truths. Like the fact that her beloved alma mater could be harbouring the seeds of evil. And the one man she trusted might not be all that he seemed. Darcy should have run for her life. Except she couldn't–not when the lives of those she loved were at stake

Darcy Steele is hiding out from her abusive husband who has threatened to take away her young son. The fact that he attempted to force her to abort the son by throwing her down a set of stairs when she was pregnant in no way means that he won't try to take back what he considers his property. She tries to give back to the community by helping other women escape, in this she's occasionally helped by Jack Turner, a bounty hunter. She knows that she's attracted to him but her secrets are getting between them. Her appearance at Rainys funeral has brought her to the attention of her husband. Interesting and well written I enjoyed the romp.
