A Kind of Magic (The Best of Betty Neels) by Betty Neels; (4 1/2*)A Kind of Magic was a surprising bit of women's gentle fiction for me as the lead female character is NOT a nurse. (gasp!!!) But I love the locale in which Neels places the story and her descriptions of the countryside, the moors, the craiggy towers, churches, cottages & homes.......some hundreds & even thousands of years old. By this time, her romance tales (for me) have taken a back seat to her real characters, the sea and locale. This all tells a story. I loved this little novel so much.
