Hiding God’s Word in Your Heart
Memorize Joshua 1:8. Write down how it appears in your favorite version of the Bible. You may want to look at a few other translations and note any words that differ to help you better understand the meaning of this powerful verse. What part of this verse really stands out and speaks to your heart today?
God Shows You the Way to Success

A Man Who Wholeheartedly Followed God
Read Joshua 1:1-9. List several things you learn about Joshua in these few verses.
Joshua is a dynamic figure in history. Look up the following verses and jot down the highlights of his life that led up to his encounter with God at the Jordan River.

A Woman’s Heart for God
Every Christian woman has many roles and responsibilities along with nurturing her relationship with the Lord. What are your daily responsibilities at this stage of your life? And what does God expect you to take care of, regardless of the challenges? List your job assignments from God.
Joshua was given the job of shepherding God’s people. What similarities do you see between your God-given responsibilities and Joshua’s?
Look in your book at the three instances where God told Joshua to be strong and courageous. Note the golden promise God added in each case:
