About this ebook

I'd been through a ton of shit in my life. The guy I thought I loved left me, and the guy I thought was my friend started stalking me. I found myself when Mike came and offered me a job. Things were going good. My stalker seemed to back off and I began to live again.

That didn't last long. As Mike became more of a fixture in my life, my stalker became more obsessed. Now, stuck between my stalker and the man I could fall for, I had a decision to make.

Do I give up or do I make a stand and finally put my stalker to rest?

    Chapter One

I’d like to see your pants around your feet, a familiar, deep masculine voice said from behind my left shoulder as I changed into my next costume.

Uh, thank you, I said, trying to place the face with the voice. Multi-colored lights bounced off the walls from the music number in progress on stage, obscuring my vision, and making the man impossible to see clearly. As the song built, I knew my cue would come soon, so I hurried over to the water table and grabbed a quick drink, hoping to ditch the guy.

Too bad I can’t keep you that way, he said leaning closer to me.

Excuse me? I turned my head toward him, finally coming face to face with my admirer. What the hell are you doing here Kyle? I grumbled. He was not the person I wanted to see after how we ended things between us.

His violet eyes twinkled, and the corners of his lips kicked upwards in a sly smirk. I came to watch you dance, Fin.

Yeah, well forget about it. Go home. I didn’t have time for this. Kyle was obsessed with me. I should have never kissed him. I should have never fallen for him.

Ah come on now, Fin. Don’t play hard to get. You know you want it. He wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me toward him. The smell of stale cigarettes and beer assailed me. It made my stomach roll with disgust.

Placing my hands on his chest I pushed him off of me. Get lost, Kyle.

I like that you’re playing hard to get. He laughed, moving toward me again, his rancid breath wafting against my cheek.

Fin! Hurry your ass up, Michael hollered, coming around the corner to where we were standing. His thickly corded body filled the space not only with his girth, but with his attitude. Michael wasn’t someone you wanted to tango with. At six foot three and two hundred and fifty pounds of muscle, he could intimidate a person with just a lift of a brow. Not only that, but with the tattoos that crisscrossed his body and bald head, he was lethal in looks alone. The tall burly man was a godsend sometimes. His hard, grey eyes narrowed as he stomped toward me.

Sorry, Mike. I’m on my way. Thanks. I didn’t even give Kyle a second thought.

"No problem, Fin. Do I need to take out the trash
