This was a very interesting book, especially how unlike most 'amnesia' books it delved deeper into the life that Jessica after her accident and deeper into the process that she has to move on with life.It was intriguing how the St. Jean made Jessica feel like she was invading her own life even though it was hers to begin with. What also added to it was how in her mind she named her family and friends in third person which added to the gravity of the situation.

I really felt for Jessica in this book. The author really made you feel connected to the character and the pain she had to go through. To not even know your own family?! That's a horrible feeling. I liked the story a lot and I know my daughter will enjoy it in a few years.

Blank by Trina St. Jean is one of the better books written for teens that I have read in a while. Jessica, the main character, has lost her memory due to a tragic accident at her family's bison farm. The book tells about how she deals with this loss and the possibility of never regaining her past. I felt the character was portrayed very realistically. I as the reader was drawn into her story and was made to truly care about her and her struggle. I would recommend this book with no reservations.

The most interesting thing about this book (not that I didn't love the plot-I did!) is that the author makes you care about and believe in a character who doesn't even know herself. Really enjoyed it!

Blank by Trina St Jean is a book about a teenager who suffers from amnesia after an accident. The book not only addresses the loss of her memories, but also the feelings she should have towards her family and friends. They are strangers to her now. Her disconnect she feels between the person she was and the person she is now is very interesting.I found the story intriguing. It was a nice read. I would recommend. Great for a teen/preteen book. (Note: there is a part with alcohol consumption.)

I love this book. its not your typical book and I guess that's one of the reason I love it. This book makes you look into your family and see this that maybe you think will never happen to you. I will be looking for more books from this writer.

Imagine if something happened to you, an accident of any sort, and you awoke in the hospital bed from a coma with no memories of who you are or the people who call themselves your parents. How would you feel? How would you cope with not knowing so much as your favorite color? It’s a horrifying thought. And this is exactly what Jessica has to live with after One Very Bad Day, April 26, when her family’s farm bison bull charges on her. She struggles with not knowing herself and the people around her, including her loving family and the friends that she can’t quite understand the way she used to. Jessica sees her reflection in the mirror as her old self, the real Jessica, and talks to her as if she can hear and understand her. It made for an interesting element that Jessica thought she was invading on another girl’s room and belongings, even while it was her own space. I loved how well Blank was written. I could hardly put the book down because it was addicting and I just had to know what would happen. There were ups and downs, sadness and triumphs, mistakes and the willingness to do better. And also, I have to mention, there is a good lack of the romance angst that usually tries to rear its ugly head in most YA books that relate to memory loss and whatnot. There’s a small hint of a possible romance in the future for Jessica, but this book allows us to see the effects of brain damage without those type of distractions. Overall, I would say Blank is highly recommendable. It’s actually refreshing and is one of the best realistic books that talk about a person with a life changing injury.
