For the Love of Hearts
My true Love of Hearts started in New York City, where I lived for forty years. I had a store called American Country Store. One of my favorite places to go was the Museum of American Folk Art. There were hearts of many kinds in those pieces of art, and I was enamored with them all. I’ve also frequented antiques shows and looked for hearts. Some of my favorite shows were Heart of Country, Brimfield, Pier Shows in NYC, Round Top in Texas—they were all wonderful opportunities to find hearts. I would look for me, for the store, for presents, and also keep an eye out for hearts that my friends and loved ones would relish. I was never at a loss on Valentine’s Day!
