- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This is a good beginners guide to purchasing a home in California. However, we discovered that our "professional" inspections were all done poorly and did not reveal sometimes obvious damage. I think this will answer most people's questions. We dealt with an especially difficult situation. Our seller, agent, and multiple inspectors did us wrong and our only recourse is to sue. In addition to a professional inspection, I suggest you do your own look around at everything to make sure there aren't problems they didn't see.
