The Alzheimer's Answer is a very readable summary of the current state of knowledge about the disease of Alzheimer's as well as an exploration of what is known about preventive measures. The first half of the book focuses largely on the biology of the disease, while the second half looks at aspects of diet, exercise, and supplementation that may play a role in preventing Alzheimer's (the author is quite candid about the limited prospects for ever really seeing a cure). While I have come across much better sources explaining the biology and physiology of Alzheimer's, I was very impressed with the latter portion of the book, which provides practical evaluations of what lifestyle changes can possibly make a difference in at least delaying the onset of Alzheimer's in susceptible patients. It's the practical nature of this later material that makes Dr. Sabbagh's book worth reading.
