About this ebook
Dr. Harris Foster was a field researcher looking for anything that might stem the plague that was devastating humanity. His successful testing of a potential cure comes on the wake of news that his daughter is infected. Risking more than he realizes, he attempts to gather a live specimen as backup for the herbals the tribal shaman gave him. Word of both his disappearance and the cure of his daughter travel fast. Taking it upon herself, Laura Foster pulls together a team and coaxes the company to let her lead the search. What they find is nothing like what they were expecting.
Nighteyes is a serialized flash fiction story. Each of the 15 stories is a stand-alone flash fiction, but as a whole they explore a strange series of events that lead to a discovery unlike anything known to modern science.

About the Author
Introduction (Why I Wrote This Book)
At the end of 2012, I finished work on my author page with little fanfare. Tinkering repeatedly over time, I eventually decided to replace an idle forum with an active blog. Sitting down, it took a while to decide what would be the common topic of the blog. As it turns out, there isn't a common topic. Thanks in no small part to my broad range of interests, I decided to set a goal of posting three times a week minimum with a theme for each day. Mondays were my various outdoor and nature related topics. Wednesday got titled for writers to offer tips and thoughts. Last was Friday.
Friday, I decided, was going to be about fiction. Poems, short stories, flash fiction, writing prompts and anything else tied to fiction. I soon came to have a love-hate relationship with Friday. More than once that is the day my internet has decided it would like to go inaccessible for extended periods of time. Other times, Friday seems to be the day when everything goes haywire and I can't sit in front of a screen for long. Everything seemed to conspire against Friday as though it was somehow a pariah to be shunned.
Add to this my unwarranted emotional response to working on the blog. Every Friday, I worked on fiction that earned me nothing and slowed the work on my ghost writing, my novel and my short stories elsewhere in paying venues. Oh, Friday, how much did I hate you early on. Slowly I grew to appreciate it however. Every week, I had to pull away from other things and focus on one small bit of fiction. I
