MEET THE PAW-RIEST!
Coming through the front door after a long day at work, the first thing I heard was a pitter-patter of paws followed by lots of loud, excited meow-ing.
‘Hello, you,’ I smiled, scooping up my grey Chartreux cat, Poppy.
She purred contentedly, her own way of saying hello.
She was followed by Lulu, my Russian blue, and KitKat, a chocolate point Birman.
I was a bit of a crazy cat lady, but I worked as a veterinary pathologist, so being an animal lover definitely came with the territory.
