About this ebook

Although they were both Royalty, Prince Nicholas from the Northern Province and Princess Jessica from the East couldn't have been more different: his distaste of the common folk and her distrust of the wealthy made them polar opposites. What could be worse than being told by their parents that they were to be married on Christmas Day? When they met for the first time on Christmas Eve, they were both sure that this was going to be the worst Holiday ever. Then again, the Christmas spirit has a way of weaving its way into even the hardest of hearts: the joy of giving, the kindness that's spread throughout the land sometimes makes friends of enemies and makes families out of strangers.
As told by Marc Clark, nine-time award winning children's author of The Princess Fables, the tale is filled with adventure, humor and understanding. The Prince & Princess of Christmas is the perfect story to share with your family this Holiday Season and for many more to come.

    PROLOGUE

I don't know when you might be reading this - it could be a faded, clothbound, hardcover buried in a stack of treasures you dusted off when going though your grandmother's things in a cobwebbed, creaky, old attic long after my bones have turned to dust; or you could have been one of the first to download it and you're scrolling through the new e-book reader you got for Christmas - but at this time, when I put these words to paper, we still have Kings and Queens, Princes and Princesses in the world (for show, mostly, but still) and it's only been a century or two since they ruled most of the countries on earth.

The year is 2014 and Winter has just begun where I live. The first biting cold wind has weaved it's way through the thin cloth of my coat and loudly whispered into my ears that it will be the master of my discomfort every time I face it on the open streets of the city. This is the time when I love to read or be read to: when there's a chill in the air and blankets come out, fires and candles are lit and hot chocolate gives you an excuse to eat marshmallows. What could be better than a fable told in the comfort of your home...?

I tell tales of Princesses and Princes. Not because I'm so familiar with them -
