- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5After taking a different way home from school, best friends Shawn and Daniel witness a violent beating. The two boys were able to see who was involved but are now in fear of being caught. They are also too frightened to tell anyone what they saw in fear of retribution. As the book moves on, the boys realize that they may have been seen and recognized by the attackers that night. The boys have a difficult decision to make and the more time they wait leaves a better chance of deciding too late. This is an exciting Hi lo book, perfect for 4th and 5th graders but with a reading level much lower. It is fast paced, accessible for reluctant readers, and has an exciting but easy to follow plot. See No Evil is a great book to have in your collection of Hi lo books and struggling readers will enjoy reading a good story.
