Introduction

One of the biggest challenges facing education today is addressing the mindset of teachers, students and parents. Many of today’s teachers, students and parents have a reactive mindset. This means that they sit back, wait for things to happen, and then scramble for solutions after the fact. This mindset must change from a reactive one into a thought process that is proactive. A proactive mindset allows one to be in front of a potential problem and one to understand that the components of the educational system along with the elements of everyday life must mesh together on a common playing field. Although, the elements of life may differ from individual to individual, the parents, students, and educational system must establish a relative purpose. As a result, all three stakeholders will work purposefully to implement effective programs and strategies to fulfill the mission and vision of their respective state, district and school.
