About this ebook

The author exposure to the spirit world commenced at an early age. She was approximately five years old, if not younger, when she started seeing and sensing things others did not see or feel. She attended her first spiritual gathering when she was a very young child. When other children were falling asleep due to boredom or lack of understanding, she was wide awake savoring every moment. Although she understood nothing, there was something about the spirit world that fascinated her. When she was old enough, she started traveling around the world searching for her spiritual identity. It was not a conscious decision; it was more like a spiritual pull. She believed it was, and still is, part of her destiny.
This book is intended for people who are searching for information on spiritual development, realities and practices. It is based on the author’s actual life experience and spiritual growth.
The author’s mission is to help people develop a clear understanding of the spirit world, and explore their inner spiritual abilities. There are many roads that can lead you to God. The key is to decide which road is best for you.

    Introduction

The year was 2009. I was strolling around a gift shop in Abadiania, Brazil, when I suddenly spotted a woman in a wheelchair. She gave me a warm friendly smile. I smiled back. After exchanging a few words, we went our separate ways.

A few days later, I was outside the pousada, a bed and breakfast establishment, where I was staying contemplating the beauty of God’s creation. He had outdone Himself. The sky and landscape were spectacular. They were definitely works of art. Unexpectedly, the woman from the gift shop appeared. She was alone. She approached me, and we started to chat.

After a few minutes of exchanging pleasantries, she abruptly changed the conversation and asked, Have you written a book?

Perplexed, I said, No. Why do you ask?

I see as if you have written a book, she replied.

I do have a website. Could that be what you are seeing? I asked.

No. It is not a website. I see a book. Although you have not written a book, one day you will, she responded.

I was completely taken aback and momentarily speechless. Shortly afterwards, she said she needed to leave. Before leaving, I embraced and thanked her. That was the last time I saw her.

It has been several years since that last encounter. Once or twice, the thought of that conversation entered my mind, but I dismissed it quickly. The idea of writing a book seemed far-fetched and absurd.

Recently, while visiting the Vale do Amanhecer Temple in Brazil, I had an astounding vision. During a meditation session, I was immersed in deep thought when I saw, in my mind’s eye, the front cover of a book. The title was My Spiritual Journey. After further inspection, I saw my name at the bottom. Quickly, I opened my eyes. I could not believe or understand what I had just seen.

During that trip, on two separate occasions, the same vision reappeared. I was perplexed.

After returning home, I was relaxing and recovering from the trip when the same vision recurred. It was as if some mysterious force was reminding me of my new task.

Instead of dismissing the vision, I pursued it this time. After gathering the material for the book, I began searching the Internet for information on how to create an eBook. The task was vast, but nevertheless achievable. In no time, I was on my way to turning my visions into a reality.

Amid the self-doubt and obscurity, a light appeared in my path revealing the way to a new destination. Although, I was a bit skeptical at first, in time, the invisible veil was removed from my eyes, and I was able to see the light in front of me.

Nowadays, I don’t shake my head in disbelief. No matter how far-fetched ideas may seem, all things are possible in God’s eyes.

Although I did not see the woman from Brazil again or remember her name, I want to thank her, wherever she may be, for allowing God’s spirits of light to go through her and relay a message of immense value to me.

Even though it took many years for the woman’s message to manifest, it is crucial to remember that God determines when the time is right, not us. All we need to do is have faith in God and allow Him to do what He feels is right for us.

I welcome you into my world. Enjoy!

    Chapter 1

India –In Search Of Spiritual Healing

It was a bitter cold winter day in 2004 when my mother kissed my cheek and closed her eyes for the last time. The experience was emotionally devastating. She was my mother and my best friend. Although I believe in life after death, and the reunion of souls in the hereafter, I could not let go of the vast emotional pain inside of me. I felt as if the light of my soul had been extinguished. I was an empty shell pretending to be alive. All I wanted was to sleep and wake up to discover that my mother’s departure was merely a nightmare. As time passed, I found myself submerging into a sea of darkness.

One day, while doing household chores, I came across a book a friend had given me three years prior to my mother’s departure. He highly recommended the book and urged me to read it. Instead, I took the book, thanked him and placed it in my bookcase. For three years, the book was forgotten. Without any palpable explanation, the book reappeared. I picked it up and read the title: A Healer’s Journey by Sree Chakravarti.

The book was an inspiring autobiography about an Indian woman’s exceptional healing gift. After reading the first few pages, her storytelling captivated my interest. As I continued to read, something occurred that transformed my outlook. I had just begun to read the chapter on Sai Baba, an Indian saint who lived in Shirdi, India and died in October 15, 1918, when I felt an inexplicable emotional bond to the saint. I read the chapter three or four times.

A week later, and I had not stop thinking of Sai Baba. I felt an overwhelming impulse to go to Shirdi, India, the location of the Shri Sai Baba Temple, and I needed to go immediately. Without any hesitation, I purchased airline tickets, got a visa, packed my suitcase, grabbed my passport, and headed for India.

The trip to Mumbai, India, was lengthy and tiresome. As I waited in line to present my passport and visa, I discovered something astonishing. When I opened the passport and looked at the picture, I was shocked to see the picture of my mother. Somehow, both of our passports ended in the same carrying case. I knew immediately that it was her way of saying, You are not alone. I am here with you. It gave me tremendous solace to know that her presence was near me.

When I went to claim my suitcase, I learned that it had not arrived. It was still in Dubai. Instead of being distraught, I remained serene. A friendly airport employee assured me that someone would contact me upon its arrival to Mumbai. I smiled and walked away.

The fact that my suitcase had not arrived was inconsequential. My primary objective was to visit Shirdi with or without my luggage. I was determined not to let anything or anyone impede me from accomplishing my goal. All I wanted, at that moment, was to go to my hotel room and sleep. I needed to rest and be ready to embark on my spiritual journey to Shirdi the next day.

At 5 a.m., the phone rang.

Hello, this is an employee from the airport. Just wanted to inform you that your suitcase has arrived and is ready for pickup, the voice said.

I got up quickly, dressed, and asked the man at the front desk to get me a cab. The fear of being alone in a foreign country, in the early hours of the morning, with a stranger never entered my mind. I felt protected.

When I arrived from the airport, I went directly to my room and prepared for my departure to Shirdi. I was getting closer to reaching my destination.

A private vehicle was hired to take me to Shirdi. Although it was just the driver and me, there was minimal communication, for I was still mourning the loss of my mother, and not in the mood to engage in conversation. Instead, I welcomed the solitude and opportunity to enjoy the view of the countryside. The trip took approximately seven hours because of an accident involving several vehicles. Surprisingly, I remained calm and at peace.

As we entered Shirdi, I observed a remote village almost untouched by the outside world. Except for a few luxury hotels built to accommodate the vast daily visits by devotees, Shirdi remained frozen in time with its dirt roads, humble homes and people dressed in traditional clothing.

Upon my arrival at the Shraddha Inn, a warm and friendly staff greeted me. The place was attractive and immaculate.

Good day. Welcome to Shraddha Inn. I will be assisting you, the woman at the front desk said. I smiled and gave her the required information.

After a few minutes, she handed me a card key and proudly stated, "Once again, welcome.
