Each week, the group meets for a few hours of table top role playing. Once one campaign ends, another player starts their own in the system of their choice. This is the only rule they can all agree on.

They are currently playing Kingdoms of Steam, a steampunk/mystery system. The group is hot on the trail of Lord Blackburn, a local nobleman and crime boss. Can they stop him before his nefarious plans are complete or will they just steal his stuff and sell it off at a better price?

Lex, if you don’t finish leveling soon, I’m going to stab you with this mini, growled Debbie, brandishing a pewter figure in her hand and glaring at her fellow player. Lex brushed her off with a wave of his hand.

I’m almost done, just putting the finishing touches on something, he said  without looking up.

This was the kind of conversation overheard each Tuesday night in a small apartment on Clover Street. Once a week, a group of five people would get together to eat Pad Thai, swoon over Joss Whedon and play RPGs. When someone’s campaign ended, another player would start up a new one in the system of their choice. This was one of the few rules they could all agree on since the group formed a few months ago. In fact it was about the only thing this group could get to work.
