About this ebook
John isn't your typical middle aged man. A former member of the French Foreign Legion, he slowly grooms himself into one of the world's most lethal assassins, one that was available to the highest bidder for virtually any job. It didn't matter if his services were paid for by corrupt governments, underworld mobs or even terrorist organizations; if you have the money and need someone eliminated, John was the assassin to hire . He is the messenger.
Yet during his most recent job, John is haunted by flashbacks of his childhood, his training, and is forced to reflect if this is really the kind of life he wants to have. To make matters worse, John learns that his current client plans to kill him at the end of the job rather than pay him his standard fee. What should have been a walk in the park for a professional assassin suddenly turns into a fight for his life.
In the middle of a country that he isn't too familiar with, John is forced to do something he rarely likes; ask others for help. This is a tough task for a man who prefers to work alone but necessary if he wants to make it out of Africa with his reputation and his life. Tormented by his past and doubts about his future, John starts to question everything he'd been doing for the past decade and whether or not he wants to keep killing for hire or walk away while he still can.
Robert J. McGregor
Robert J. McGregor is a man who has real world experience. He served with the French Foreign Legion at an early age for over five years. He then returned to the United Kingdom to resume his studies, a pursuit that took him to both Edinburgh and Oxford. After graduation with a doctrine in business, Robert worked intensely with the security industry, which convinced him to see more of the world. In 2008 Robert relocated to China to begin a new life teaching the English language to the Chinese people in a university setting, while also working at training centre to help both young and old students. Robert has only recently begun to pursue a career as a writer. His first book, titled 'The Messenger', will be published later this year. It's an action packed thriller that is both gripping and will keep readers on the edge of their seats. A great first step towards what looks to be a promising career for a budding writer. Robert still resides in China, where he is currently working on his next novel.
