Kirk Douglas – undoubtedly one of the finest and most admired actors ever to grace the silver screen.
Although naturally shy, Douglas overcame his self-perceived limitations to become one of the biggest names in Hollywood throughout the 50s and 60s, his roles ultimately evolving to earn him the ‘tough guy’ image he was perhaps most famous for.
