About this ebook

The irresistible Paddington Bear, who was found on Paddington station, returns in this reissued novel, with an updated cover design.

Paddington doesn’t intentionally turn his friend’s wedding into an uproar by getting the wedding ring stuck on his paw. Nor does he mean Mr Curry to slip on his marmalade sandwich in the middle of an important gold shot. But these sort of things just happen to a bear like Paddington!

Stories of Paddington Bear have delighted children all over the world for fifty years.

Michael Bond

Michael Bond began chronicling Paddington’s adventures in his first book, A Bear Called Paddington, published in 1958. Fortunately, bears don’t need much encouragement, and Paddington has since filled the pages of twelve further novels, a variety of picture books, and many other projects written for the young at heart.

This book was great, just like all the others. I especially liked how he got the psychiatrist all worked up in the hospital by turning his questions back at him and then when he ran into the next room, he was mistaken for a visiting surgeon from Peru! He was at the hospital because he was at the golf course helping Mr Curry with his golfing and Curry slipped on Paddington's marmalade sandwich. So Paddington takes over the golfing, hits the ball into a train, the train takes the ball miles away and Paddington wins the match for the longest shot!!!
