Is everything OK, Liv?’ Hannah asked. ‘You look pretty fed up. Isn’t Brad here?’
It was a Saturday afternoon and Liv had invited Hannah over for a coffee.
Liv flicked on the kettle. ‘He stayed over last night, but now he’s taking Dexter for a walk.’
They sat at the breakfast bar and sipped their drinks. ‘The thing is, this morning he told me he can’t come to my sister’s wedding,’ Liv said miserably.
