About this ebook
Natalie and Evie are very different people. They are very different in age, and in income, and at very different stages of their lives. Natalie is a partner in a large law firm, and Evie is a law student at university. They meet at a work function of Natalie’s, where Evie is working as a waitress, and begin to talk. Natalie is lonely, and has been single for several years, and is intensely attracted to Evie. On impulse, she offers Evie money for sex.
Evie is surprised, and unsure whether to accept, or be offended, or quite what she should do. In the end, the simplest thing seems to be to say yes. She isn’t sure why, and is a little surprised at herself, but it seems like it she might as well, since - although Natalie doesn’t know it - she is attracted to Natalie too and probably would have ended up sleeping with her anyway.
From that beginning, Evie and Natalie become closer, overcoming the slightly odd way in which they met. They begin to deal with the problems their different ages and lives pose to a relationship. They disagree, but cope when they do, and gradually become closer. In the end, after obstacles and misunderstandings and confusion, everything ends happily.
This novel was originally written as serial fiction, writing and publishing a little each day, every day.
This novel is set in Australia and uses British spelling.

So first, thank you to everyone for all the support. I’m really pleased and flattered and grateful that people are actually interested in reading what I write.Just, thank you!So without further ado, hi, I’m Tess and I write smut. And sometimes other things. But mostly I try to write slightly thinky, realistic, character-driven erotica. That’s what I think I’m doing, anyway. People do kinky stuff, but hopefully in the way real people might, when they’re having an especially good day. Which is to say, I write about people in strong relationships trying new things, like bringing in new sex partners, and sometimes about their relationships getting complicated and ending, too, but usually in ways that mean its for the best. So people change, and develop, and live their lives, and that’s connected to the sex they’re having. And they have a lot of sex. Some of what I write is about women and men, and some of it is about women and other women, and this should be clear from the blurbs. So anyways. Here’s the new plan. I’m going to start putting everything I write up for free as soon as it’s done.Yep, that's right. Everything I ever write. All of it. Free.I should probably write that as FREE!!!Then, every so often, I’ll also make anthology collections and put them up for a price. Because then it can be like a weird validation thing, with the getting paid. But without actually stopping anyone from reading. So that all sounds a bit weird right? Everything’s free except it isn’t? Well, I really like this place, and I also like people reading what I write. So it kind of makes sense, at least to me. And yes, it is kind of part of a devious plan to, um, I don't know, win you over, I guess, and guilt you into one day eventually buying things. But really, really mild guilt, I completely promise. So don’t worry if you ever end up buying anything. Read all the same!Because, yeah, I want to sell billions of books one day, but I also want people just to read what I write, and I don’t want people to feel pressured to pay, and this all seems like it might work.So just to be really, completely clear, so no-one is upset when they realize later on. The anthology books collect stories into an actual book, and an ebook is probably easier to read, and if you would like to buy it, I would really appreciate it, and that would be fantastic. But on the other hand, if you’d rather try reading a little first, or would rather not pay at all for whatever reason, then please don’t!Because the stories in the books are the same stories as are already up for free as stand-alone ones. And the ones that aren’t, those are on my website, and are usually the shorter or less smutty ones.So if you’re already paid for stuff, please don’t feel like you’re getting tricked here or something, because paying has always been only if you wanted to, and you didn’t have to. This is just trying the same idea on a bigger scale. And if you have paid in the past too, you really don’t need to pay again, there isn’t anything new you can’t get elsewhere.I mean, except the new stories as they appear, which I’ll keep putting up as free, like I have been for the last month or so anyway. So basically, there’s no need to pay for anything unless you want to.So right. We’re all clear on this?Yay!And also, um, thank you. Really, just thank you all heaps for reading what I’ve written until now, and wanting to read other things, and just for everything, really.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5It was interesting... really good and a little weird all at the same time. The writing
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5It has some good moments, but it's way too long for what actually happens. The majority is back and forth dialogue between the two main characters.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Love it! So unexpected and lovely.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5surprisingly I found this enjoyable. I got caught up in the characters and their thoughts. reminded me of Hemingway or something...it did leave me wondering about a lot of what if scenarios, like what if they socialised more, what if they met each others families...could have been edited a bit more too, but it was still good

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Loved this. This has the right amount of humour, some insights into relationships and I really like how the characters are fleshed out through some witty dialogue. Light-hearted and wonderful.

I literally skipped thru this story. It was too much of an age gap to be realistic.1 person found this helpful
