Planet Earth; the United States of America. Amazingly we are still called that. We aren't global citizens yet, there is too much hatred ,and too many dissidents calling themselves Freedom Fighters. To us, they are enemies of the State. For many years it seemed we were headed in a direction of Unity, but now, too many evil men have taken up the cause of 'Separation by Choice'. Once a seedy underground operation, Separation by Choice offers training resources and rehabilitation options to the parents that are brave enough to keep a child that has been labeled as an 'unwanted'. But hardly anyone is willing to take on the task of a so-called problem child; a child with what Separation by Choice calls a confused sexual orientation. Illegal child placement services have sprung up all over the place, trying to re-locate these 'confused' kids into training homes with new parents willing to work with the teens to alter their thoughts and behaviors. The difficulty is in differentiating between legitimate placement services, and those run by Separation by Choice. Our government wants to put a stop to this, and eventually, we will.

My name is Evan Delaney. I work for Division Exodus One, a special task-force loosely connected to the FBI. But I never said that.

I love my country and I love my job. And I most especially love the people I work with; Elliot, Anna and Cheyenne. They are amazing individuals. The four of us have been together for almost two years now. This isn't the beginning of our story, but to me, it's the most important one.

    *************************************

Elliot stood at the head of the long table in our meeting room and waited for me to hand everyone their coffees. He took his black with two sugars. It made me shudder; I had to have cream in mine. I set his in front of him and offered to take his coat; it was long, black and a decidedly Victorian style with all of those buttons. He was very well aware that it gave him an eccentric air of 'master of the domain'. On anyone else it would have looked ridiculous, but his tall masculine frame pulled it off effortlessly. I had threatened to steal it on more than one occasion.

No Evan, I'm fine thank you. He winked and motioned for me to take a seat, then he started right in with our next case. "It's called 'Rainbow Placement Services', and it's an illegal agency. There are satellite offices throughout the entire Southeastern region, and it's been the last stop for almost every child that's been listed as missing in the past six months. And I'm sure quite a few that haven't made the list. Head guy is Vincent Soronto, twice divorced, no kids and a real piece of work; charges of spousal abuse, DWI, sexual harassment, you name it... this guy's had his filthy hands in it. He's a founding member of Separation by Choice. And we're taking him down.
