    CHAPTER ONE

    UNDERWATER

    As we entered the tunnel, my friend Egg said, This is amazing. Isn’t it, Cat?

    I nodded. The tunnel was made completely of glass, and it was the entrance to the City Aquarium. The moment we entered, we were surrounded by underwater creatures of all shapes, sizes, and colors.

    It is pretty cool, our friend Sam said.

    I can’t believe the glass doesn’t break, Gum said. Gum was the fourth member of our group. Imagine if it did!

    Oh, Gum, I said. Stop it.

    Just then, a long, mean-looking shark swam right over us. I shrieked.

    Gum laughed. Ooh, he said, poking my shoulder. I sure hope the glass doesn’t break.
