Prelude:
Introducing Smooth
May 10th, 2000:
I stood there, as I watched my dad place the barrel of his gun upon the brown temple of our neighbor. Please! Please Big Man! I’m sorry. Just don’t kill me.
Mr. Jones pleaded as he was stationed on his knees. Please, please!
My father mocked him and began to laugh loudly. You see this little bitch nigga?
He continued, as he swung him around and faced the rest of his henchmen in the dark alley. He had the balls to try to fuck my wife and take her away from me. But now he’s over here pissin’ and shittin’ himself when it’s time to face his fuckin’ consequences like a man.
My father spoke in his thick New York accent. What a pussy boss!
Tiko, one of my father’s best hitman yelled out. I’ve seen bitches take their shit like a ‘G.
Another man yelled out. I stared at Mr. Jones as he silently cried under my father’s hostage. Mr. Jones owned the local candy shop on the block and was always there for my mother, after my father had beaten her. I never understood why my father was doing this, but I knew that today Mr. Jones and I were both going to learn a very valuable lesson...that my father was not one to be fucked with.
The little fuck is crying.
My father chuckled as he gripped the collar of Mr. Jones tightly. Maybe, I’ll do you a favor. You like favors Charles?
He asked. Y-y-yes Sir
Mr. Jones stammered in response. Good. I’ll make this a warning. But if you try to fuck my wife or even think, about talking her into leaving me for you again Charles... I will skin your black ass alive and send your body parts to ya’ motha.’ You understand?
My father commanded. Y-y-yes.
Charles nodded his head. Now your bitchass has 5 second to run out of this alley alive. I will be counting down and if you don’t make it in time, I will blow your brains out.
My father said, as he let go of Mr. Jones collar. Without hesitation, Charles stood up and began to run as my father began to count down.

Boom!
I watched as the bullet flew through the back of Charles head causing him to drop onto the cold cement. Lifeless. My mouth dropped. My father didn’t even give the man three full seconds before killing him in cold blood. I was shaking in my boots at the sight of
Charles’s brain sprawled out on the ground. I was only ten years old and I had witnessed my first murder.
Chapter 1:
Smooth
As soon as we walked into our Brooklyn apartment I knew that all hell was going to break loose. My
