About this ebook

Bodyguard, Raven Stone, has a reputation for trying to steal the husbands of the clients he's hired to follow. When he's sent on a special assignment to guard the Crown Prince of Jurru, Raven's first instinct is to use his sex appeal to win over the future king. He's told the Crown Prince is straight, but Raven has yet to meet a man he couldn't lure into his bed.

For years, Crown Prince Ghazi Zahar, has managed to hide his sexuality from the hordes of paparazzi that continue to follow his every move. So why does his new chauffer make him yearn to take risks? When the newly crowned king of Jurru discovers Raven's true identity, he asks him to return to his island home and help protect his young nephew. Living his life so close to temptation has Ghazi in a constant state of agitation. Would the people of his country accept a gay king?

Raven's always fancied himself a bit of a queen, but he's never considered the possibility that he actually might become one. Can he keep his king alive long enough to enjoy it?

This sixth book in the Bodyguards in Love series was as fascinating for me to read as the others. There was Raven's and Ghazi's story, but on top of that I got to see more of the ongoing developments, and some old favorite characters made a reappearance. This book's engaging characters and interesting plot kept me captivated.

I loved learning more about the background of mysterious bodyguard Raven. He's one of those men who have a reputation due to what they used to do - and now not only believe it's true but can't figure out how to "escape". Raven, despite his macho behavior, has issues of self worth that stop him from believing he's good enough for the man he's fallen in love with.

Crown Prince Ghazi has become king of Jurru, and is attracted to Raven. He believes he needs to wait for a better time to give in to his attraction. The tumultuous pre-election preparations, he thinks, will take too much of his personal time, and he assumes that Raven would not understand.

The way that both men make assumptions about the other means the road to happiness is especially difficult for them. Add in some external obstacles in the shape of a mystery around some young children, and the scene is set for a wonderful read.

I've enjoyed the series but really enjoyed this one. I think part of the problem was the added element of helping young people in trouble. I really liked getting to visit with old friends from earlier books as well. Great end.

I really like Raven. I'm not sure why, since in the other books he was shown to be slut who didn't care who he hurt as long as he got sex. This isn't really the way he is, but he's convinced himself that that's all he can be and it's up to the King of Jurru to change his mind.

The side drama was very strange. Even after meeting Nalu and figuring out what he was doing on the boat (which I expected after he ran off to the boat) I hadn't expected it to be so wide spread among the orphans on Jurru.
