Chapter One

The shabbily dressed man walked through the door and sat down. He was wearing faded blue jeans with holes ripped into the knees and at the top of the thigh, where the tautness and strength of his leg muscles could be seen. They were the sort of jeans that you could imagine the lead singer of an indie band wearing. The baggy grey hooded top he had chosen to wear for this special visit hung loosely off his body and subtly disguised the biceps that could crush a man’s neck in a matter of seconds and a six pack that you could grate cheese on.

He had a scruffy brown woollen hat pulled tightly down over his head and the week old stubble hid much of the man’s otherwise handsome face.

To anybody walking past him on the street he wouldn’t attract the merest hint of attention or second glance. He just looked like any slightly scruffy twenty something who probably should take more care with their appearance. He wasn’t unusual, and this was exactly the way he had planned
