About this ebook
But Venice is under siege by the Egyptian Empire; its terrifying mummy warriors are waiting to strike. All that protects the Venetians is the Flowing Queen. Nobody knows who or what she is—only that her power flows through the canals and keeps the Egyptians at bay.
When Merle and Serafin overhear a plot to capture the Flowing Queen, they are catapulted into desperate danger. They must do everything they can to rescue the Queen and save the city—even if it means getting help from the Ancient Traitor himself.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5All Rabbit wanted to do was make some carrot soup with the carrots he grew in his garden. When he goes to pick them, they are all gone! Rabbit asks all his friends but none of them seem to know. When Rabbit gets home, he finds out all of his friends had told a white lie to surprise him with a party with tons of carrot soup. This book was really cute and had a great message about friendship.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Aurora Says:
Carrot Soup is about this bunny who grows carrots. Every time they start sprouting he digs them up and makes soup. But this year they sprouted and he ran to tell all his friends. No one was at their houses. When he went home he say no carrots. Then he went back to his friends houses to tell them that his carrots were gone. None of the friends knew where the carrots went. But the friends did know where they were because they were in their houses because they were going to cook carrot soup for him this year. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Very cute story about a rabbit and his lost carrots. The illustrations give a hint of what is to come, great for making predictions.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book is great. I wish I would have found it when I was teaching a plant unit to kindergarteners. It shows the process of planting seeds. I also like how all rabbits friends planned a surprise party for rabbit. It would be good to talk about how maybe the idea of the party was good, but picking someone elses plants isn't a good idea. Not without that person knowing about it, because like rabbit, the person could get very sad and angry that their plants were taken. I also love the carrot soup recipes in the back, it would be fun to read this book and then offer carrot soup to your students, or have them help prepare it!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Simple story of a rabbit planting his garden of carrots and they disappear when he comes to get them. His friends play a part in the surprise ending. Alexander loved this book and it was one of the first books he memorized, that makes it special for us.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5There's something a little creepy about that rabbit, and the writing is eh. I *do* like the way you can see what's really going on if you pay attention to the background, but it isn't enough to make me like the book as a whole.
