About this ebook

Connor loves teaching. He loves working with kids, he loves feeling like he’s making a difference. And the kids—and parents—seem to love him. Until the afternoon he makes a small error in judgment, and an angry father’s thoughtless comments start the kind of rumor that destroys careers. And lives.

Everything Connor thought he knew about himself and his world is now in doubt. But sometimes help comes from the most unexpected direction.

The story started with Lanyon's trademark - an uncomfortable encounter between the two male leads. However, down the line, it was good to read a non-detective plot story from Lanyon. It was a story that purely concentrated on the relationship between two characters - something that I had been eager to read from Lanyon.Although I did not agree with the way Lanyon portrayed some characters - Tom, Bea, Wes and a few more, I could take delight in reading through what this storyteller was trying to share. I was excited to know more and to know how the story would conclude.

The Love Interest is not a very nice person. I wanted nothing more than the MC to shove that man aside and get on with his life.

No dead bodies, and no mystery, but rather a sweet story of Con, a kindergarten teacher and Wes, the father of one of Con's little students. 3.5 stars.

This could've been a 5 star read, but it was about 100 pages too short.

The only reason this isn't getting 5 stars is because it's so short. I wanted more!

This is a rather unique Josh Lanyon story as there is no murder, no mystery or intigue. Instead it's a no-holds-barred sweet and romantic kind of story. Maybe it's not super original, but it's very well written, at least as far as I'm concerned. I'm also grateful Ms Lanyon didn't fall for the "I'll just add more sex to make it longer" which seems to happen at times.

If I had to find any criticism it would be that perhaps there could have been a bit more character building. A little more insight into what, in particular, makes Wes tick, but that's just because I'm greedy and I always want more *grin* But the fact that I devoured the book in one sitting, even though it's less than 100 pages, should tell you enough.
