About this ebook

Farron has been a bad boy...a playboy, who blamed his lack of connection to another on Fate. But Fate has a twisted sense of humour and a special place for those who damn her, as her bitch, and she has a spot all marked out with Farron’s name on it. Tasked with fixing Fate’s screw-ups and helping those who have missed their moment to connect with their soul-mate, the pain of knowing he will never have that for himself is almost more than he can bear. But he does so, with a smile for each couple he unites. That is, until he meets an untouched little man who makes him want to curse fate all over again, Ben. No matter how much he wishes it wasn’t so, Ben isn’t for him, though. He’s destined for another, Mason.

Mason fled Tasmania like the devil was on his heels, and it was. Tasmanian devil shifters, that is. As the only submissive devil shifter born, he is driven away, smuggling himself in the boot of a car aboard a ferry to the mainland, to escape the constant physical abuse at the hands of other male devils over territorial rights. Alone and destitute, he hits rock bottom as each day his life seeps away a little more. When a gorgeous dingo shifter shows up claiming to be his Fairy Father with promises of bringing him to his mate, Mason could have cried. Not in joy, but in grief. It seems fate has screwed up yet again...as Mason’s time has just run out.

    Chapter One

Lucky bastards. Just look at ‘em both, rubbing and grinding against their dates. Ben nodded toward David and Thomas, two of his friends who were practically dry-humping on the dance floor against their partners, only feet from where Ben and his only other single friend, Brent, sat against the bar. Brent nodded his head in agreement, leaned back, and looked on with interest, a toothpick hanging out the side of his mouth as he lazily chewed on the end of it. It was a common sight, since he had given up smoking a few months earlier.

Ben shifted his attention back to the motion in front of him. David ground his fiancé against his thigh, his hands cupping her ass as he moved with the pounding beat of the club. The denims and loose black silk shirt he wore—the shirt open at the top two buttons and exposing his waxed smooth chest—were a complete contrast to the uptight persona he liked to present at the office each day. As the freshest face at his law firm, he worked hard during the week and partied even harder come Friday night.

Tracey, his fiancée, portrayed the picture-perfect stereotype of every straight college guy’s wet dream. Blonde, petite, and with what would have been an hourglass figure, if her breasts weren’t the size of melons. Ben would have thought David had chosen her as a trophy-wife-to-be, if Tracey didn’t have the IQ of all of them combined. She snaked her hips against David’s thigh, panting as she ground with the rhythm of the current song playing and looking about a second or two away from climaxing right there on the dance-floor.

Thomas, on the other hand seemed oblivious to the music. He swayed slowly back and forth, lips locked with Anna, his petite dental hygienist girlfriend, and only separating to breathe when needed. Even though they’d been an item for the past few months, they never seemed to be able to keep their damn hands to themselves. Ben had to smile at seeing the guy so happy. It brought home his loneliness though, and he had to struggle to keep it buried deep enough that it didn’t rain on everyone else’s parade. After growing up with nothing and no one to love, there was no way he would begrudge his friends happiness at finally finding something they could hold onto as their own. Although, it left him the eternal third wheel, alone in a roomful of couples.

Thomas was always onto him about expressing
